Kennedy, Hutto join schools staff
Jason Kennedy has been named Curriculum and Professional Development Director for Jeff Davis County Schools.
Mr. Kennedy has 23 years of experience as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and administration at different levels. He is a published author with Routledge Eye on Education. His book, Let’s Stop Teaching and Start Designing Learning, is guiding school districts in multiple states to redesign the learning experience for students.
Mr. Kennedy holds a BSEd and MSEd in Secondary English Education. He also holds an EdS in Educational Leadership. Mr. Kennedy’s goal for the upcoming year is to listen and learn about the great school in Jeff Davis. He looks forward to being a part of an already exceptional district.
Lee Ann Hutto has been named System Mental Health Counselor for Jeff Davis County Schools.
Mrs. Hutto has over 19 years of experience as a social worker in the areas of Crisis Intervention, School Based Social Services provider, Trauma, Medical Social Work, Special Education, Child Advocacy, DFCS, DJJ as well as a Mental Health Provider.
Mrs. Hutto holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Valdosta State University. Her goal for this year is to help enhance the Mental Health of the Jeff Davis School District by providing Mental Health Services on various levels as well as raising awareness of Mental Health in everyday lives.
