Ms. JoAnn Hughes Steverson, 78

Ms. JoAnn Hughes Steverson, 78, of Hazlehurst died July 3 at the Pavilion in Baxley.
Ms. Steverson was born Dec. 1, 1943, in Jeff Davis County.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dixie Hughes and Norene Hannah Hughes, brother, Baxter Hughes, sister, Patsy Holt and nieces, Rena Miles and Ashley Weitman. She was retired from Hazlehurst Mills, she enjoyed reading, spending time with family and especially her grandson, Judson.
Ms. JoAnn had a sweet gentle spirit and the sweetest disposition that anyone could ever have and you always enjoyed her company because of her sweet and contagious smile.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Darren and Melanie Steverson of Hazlehurst; grandson, Judson Steverson of Hazlehurst; sister, Sonya Miles (Russell) of Hazlehurst; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation and graveside services will be held July 7, visitation will begin at 9 a.m. at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home and funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m. in Satilla Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Keith Yawn and Terry Miles officiating
Honorary pallbearers will be all family and friends in attendance.
Active pallbearers will be Grant Miles, Tyler Miles, Kyle Miles, Kevin Hughes, Blake Claxton, and Judson Steverson.
Music will be rendered by E.H. Claxton.
