Mr. Terrence McCoy, 16

Mr. Terrence McCoy, 16, of Hazlehurst, passed away Aug. 5.
He was born Sept. 15, 2009, in Baxley, to Terrence Harrison II and Shirley Marie McCoy.
Terrence was a student at Jeff Davis High School in Jeff Davis County, where he was loved by his teachers and classmates. He was noted for his abundance of energy and personality, He had a passion for sports, especially football, where his natural talent truly shined.
Though his time with us was far too short, Terrence was deeply loved by his family, friends and community. His life touched many, and his presence will be greatly missed. Memories of his smile, his laughter, his energy, and the moments shared with him will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Terrence was preceded in death by his great-grandmother Minister Janice Williams; great-grandfather Vertis Knox; great-aunts Edna Mae Chambers, Geneva Harris and Nancy Salem; and great-uncles Joshua Bee Jones, Eddie Lee Jones and Bubba Jones.
Terrence leaves to cherish his precious memory his loving parents Terrence Harrison II and Shirley Marie McCoy; siblings Aliceya Skyy McCoy-Harrison, Ah’miyah Star McCoy, Zamairen McCoy, and Deangalo McCoy; grandparents Larry and Shirley McCoy, Terrence Harrison and Gracil (Gregory) Baker; aunt Pamela Chambers; great-grandfathers Solomon Williams and Gregory Cochran; great-aunt, Carrie Lynch; a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, classmates, and friends who will forever carry Terrence’s memory in their hearts.
Services were held Aug. 22 at Bennett Tabernacle Holiness Church with Pastor Rueben Bennett Jr. officiating.
Interment followed in Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Comarie Chambers, Gregory Chambers, Jeffery Chambers, Rodney M. Clark II, Dyson Hill, Robert Powell, Quinton Smith.
Flower attendants were cousins and friends.
Thornton Funeral was in charge.
