Mrs. Wendolyn Reagin Mason, 86

Mrs. Wendolyn Reagin Mason, 86, of Aiken, S.C., passed away peacefully Sept. 13. Born Dec. 15, 1939, in Hazlehurst, she was a daughter of the late Aaron Reagin and Bonnie Cleo Quinn Reagin.
Mrs. Mason was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend whose greatest joy in life was her family. She cherished every opportunity to spend time with her children and especially treasured visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her home was often filled with warmth, laughter and the aroma of a home-cooked meal, as she loved preparing Sunday dinners and bringing her family together around the table.
A woman with many talents and interests, Mrs. Mason had a special love for gardening and caring for plants, finding peace and happiness in watching flowers bloom and birds visit her yard. She also enjoyed refinishing antiques, giving new life to old treasures through her patience and creativity. Her kind heart, nurturing spirit and unwavering love for her family will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
Surviving are her son Gregory Mason; daughter Elaine Platt (Bryan); grandchildren Ashley Nicole, Julie Anne (Brandon) and Robert Leary; great-grandchildren Kassiah, Leah, Jack, Jaycie and Oakley; brothers Ronald Reagin (Nancy), Michael Reagin (Kim) and Dennis Reagin (Jennifer); sister Sonya Wodicka (Dave); and many beloved extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years David Ralph Mason.
The graveside service was held Sept. 19 at Southlawn Aiken’s Premier Cemetery in Aiken, S.C., with Mike Reagin officiating. was in charge.
