South Georgia Food and Wine Festival will have something for all ages
The Oct. 22-23 South Georgia Food and Wine Festival in downtown Hazlehurst will have something for all ages to enjoy.
Live music, a tasting event, food, family fun and craft vendors will be available during the festival which will be centered on Hinson Street downtown.
Events kick off Friday with the annual Boo Bash from 6 to 8 p.m. with trick-or-treating in the parking lots on the S. Tallahassee side of Hinson Street, and through the vendors on Hinson Street to the Kidz Zone where there will be fun activities, bouncing houses and a costume contest.
The children costume judging contest will be in the Intertate Credit Union parking lot and the adult costume contest will be at the Danny Dawson Concert.
The Danny Dawson Band will play Friday beginning at 8 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and no charge for children 12 and under. Bring your own lawn chair.
The Kidz Zone will be open again Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a free magic show/juggling act Saturday at 1 p.m. and artist Lee Mobley will create a magical creation – live, also on Saturday.
The highlight of the weekend will be the Caylee Hammack performance Saturday at 8 p.m. with special guest Kylie Morgan. Tickets are $30 for general admission and $50 for VIP tickets which include hospitality access and VIP seating.
Tickets are available for both Friday and Saturday performances at Interstate Credit Union, Hazlehurst-Jeff Davis County Chamber of Commerce, and Olde Towne Mercantile.
The events are sponsored by Triple H Specialty, Main Street Hazlehurst, the Chamber of Commerce, the Joint Development Authority and the Board of Tourism.
