EMS Director Ogilvie To Retire

Jeff Davis County Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Director Roger Ogilvie announced his retirement effective Nov. 2.
In a letter written last week announcing his retirement, Ogilvie said he had served 39 years working for Jeff Davis County, 25 of those years were with the EMS, the last two as EMS Director.
“This decision did not come easy,” Ogilvie said in the letter. “I was not planning to retire just yet but an opportunity opened up for me that I could not turn down. I have enjoyed my tenure with Jeff Davis County and working along or with many of you. I will cherish the memories.”
