JDA gets $500,000 loan

The Joint Development Authority (JDA) of Jeff Davis County, Hazlehurst and Denton has received a $500,000 Building Renovation Loan from the OneGeorgia Authority.
The loan is for capacity building improvements to the newly acquired Propex building for attracting industry. The JDA will provide $1,360,000 to match OneGeorgia’s contribution for a $1,860,000 project.
Arising Industries, a cargo trailer manufacturer in Hazlehurst, sent a letter stating their intention to lease or purchase the building after renovation and creating up to 50 jobs over the next 3-5 years as part of a local expansion plan.
