Bloodworth running for council seat

John M. Bloodworth has officially qualified as a candidate for the Ward 4 seat on the Hazlehurst City Council in the Nov. 3, 2026, general election.
In announcing his candidacy, Bloodworth said he looks forward to meeting and talking with residents throughout Ward 4 and hearing their concerns about the community.
“I will stand up for each and every citizen and work for your best interests,” Bloodworth said. “I have no personal agenda, and it will be my honor to be your voice.”
Bloodworth said that, if elected, he intends to represent all residents of Ward 4 and make their needs and priorities central to his work in city government.
“I respectfully ask for your vote and support on Nov. 3,” he said. “It would be a privilege to serve as your commissioner on the Hazlehurst City Council.”
