Mr. Odis Lee Claxton, 86

Mr. Odis Lee Claxton, 86, of Baxley passed away March 4 at Hazlehurst Court Care & Rehab.
Mr. Claxton was born Nov. 9, 1939, in Appling County to the late Lewis Claxton and the late Belle Martin Claxton. He retired from Glennville Lingerie. Mr. Claxton was an avid gun’s man and enjoyed shooting and hunting, but his dogs were his world. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ludine Claxton; children, Ladon, Sydney, and Robbie.
Survivors include his daughter Paula (Charlie) Anderson of Hazlehurst; sister Mildred Jackson of Baxley; brother Max (Helen) Claxton of Hazlehurst; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held March 11 in the chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Pastor Kelly Anderson officiating and a eulogy by Charlie Anderson.
Music was rendered by Javan Anderson.
Swain Funeral Home was in charge.
