Mr. De’Angelo Marquis Adams, 25

Mr. De’Angelo Marquis Adams was born Sept. 22, 1998, and made his transition on Easter morning, March 31. De’Angelo was born in Hazlehurst to Erica Kornegay and Kendell Adams Sr. and was a member of St. James A.M.E. Church in Hazlehurst. De’Angelo graduated from Jeff Davis High School in 2017. He loved and played the game of football (#forever22) in high school. He attended Valdosta State University for a short period before he came back home to pursue a different career path. De’Angelo was known for his infectious smile, love for country music, and the love he showed to everyone he encountered. De’Angelo was a die-hard ALABAMA ROLL TIDE fan!!
De’Angelo was preceded in eternal rest with his loving great-grandmother Elizabeth Conaway; grandfather Earl Conaway; uncle Rio Wright Conaway; brother Kendell; sister Ah’Janay Adams. Survivors included mother Erica Kornegay; father Kendell Adams Sr.; great-grandmother Betty Kornegay; grandmother Sharon “Diane” Kornegay; grandmother Louise Adams; brother Rio Kornegay; sister Cynsere Kornegay; brothers Tyrell Adams, Kortney Adams, Tyrece Adams, and Kendall Adams; Jr; special uncle and tete: Franchot (Tashika) Conaway; special aunt/cousin: Salathia Black; special sister/cousin Justis Conaway; godmother Rachel Williams; special cousins L’Earl Conaway, Jaylene Kirby, Jashaun Kirby, Ja’Quez Kirby, Quay Black, Jared Kornegay Jr., and Kolby Carter; and a host of loving uncle, aunts, cousins, and friends.
De’Angelo’s celebration of life swas held oApril 13 at Bennett Tabernacle Holliness Church in Hazlehurst. Words of comfort were provided by Pastor Reuben Bennett Jr. with the Rev. Christopher D. Johnson presiding.
