Feeling my age — By Tommy Purser

Over the years, I’ve developed a sense of when we’re going to have enough news to fill the paper and when we’re going to have to leave things out for lack of space.
I sensed early last week that filling up the newspaper was going to be tough this week.
So the good wife and I traveled Saturday to Ludowici where I took a number of photographs of our All Star youngsters playing in the District Georgia Recreation and Parks Association tournament.
We’ve gotten out of the loop of recreation baseball the last few years as our children and grandchildren have outgrown or lost interest in sports.
Saturday so many memories came rushing back as we watched parents and grandparents doing the same things we did for so many years.
I felt my age as I watched parents who, years ago, were playing rec ball and I was watching them. Saturday, I watched them as they watched their children play.
Time marches on.
