Rich Protesters — By John Reed

Rich Protesters
So it looks like we’re going to have another “summer of discontent.“ My generation remembers the late 60’s when protests for civil rights and against the Vietnam war flared up across the country. Then, as now, college campuses were the focal points. Then, as now, it seems the higher the tuition, the louder the protest.
Seems like only the rich kids have the privilege to ditch class and cause a stink.
The main difference between that era and now is tone. While the earlier protests occasionally turned violent, their goal was peace and basic human rights. Today’s protesters advocate torture, death, and genocide. The greatest irony is that the culture they are supporting would not allow them to protest… And many of the protesters themselves would be executed for their chosen lifestyle.
Hamas’ plan to make Israel look like the bad guy seems to be working. Despite the IDF taking unprecedented care to avoid civilian casualties, the cowards hiding behind women and children in schools and hospitals are winning the war of public opinion. Aided and abetted by liberal media, the butchers of October 7 are being rebranded as angelic victims.
So how did so many of our citizens get duped into this? Many of the protesters willingly admit they don’t really know why they are protesting… that crowd I understand: college kids everywhere look for excuses to have fun and miss class. The central core of true believers are more worrisome. Somewhere along the line, our parents, churches, secondary schools, and colleges failed to instill in them a basic moral compass.
…And basic common sense. Advocating for peace is a good thing, but calling for the genocide of one side is not the way to achieve it. To be clear, many Palestinians have no desire to be human shields and Israel is not blameless in this conflict. Truly, there are no winners in wars.
It’s important to note that ours is probably the only country in the world that would allow this type of action. But even our First Amendment has boundaries… considering how many victims of the “woke agenda“ have lost their jobs and livelihoods for simply using the wrong pronoun, it’s more than time for those wishing physical harm on others to face consequences.
I’m thinking a free complementary one-way trip to Gaza City without daddy’s credit card might be just the thing.
