Mr. William Hollis Davenport, 72

Mr. William Hollis Davenport, 72, of Hazlehurst, died May 29 at Bethany Nursing Home in Vidalia.
Mr. Davenport was born Oct. 20, 1949, in Florida.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Dave and Amy Lynn Davenport. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Vidalia Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends, but truly loved his grandkids and spoiling them.
Survivors include his daughters, Jennifer Kight Purvis of Hazlehurst and Karen Anderson (Roger) of Vidalia; son, John Dees III (Debbie) of Baxley; brothers, Robin Davenport (Brenda), Joe Davenport (Gay), Terry Davenport (Jackie) and Kenny Davenport; sisters, Marie Edge (Grover) and Toni Tapley; grandchildren Maci Graham, Caraline Kight, Kalem (Treasure), Kelby Anderson, J.C. Dees IV and Blaze Martin; great-grandkid, CindyKate Anderson; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held June 1 at Cedar Crossing Baptist Church with the Rev. Reece Mincey and the Rev. Robbie Fowler presiding.
Interment followed in Uvalda City Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Dexter Cason, Rusty Purvis, Dallas Adams, John Foskey, Billy Bratton and Neil Duckles
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
