Mrs. Rebecca ‘Becky’ Tapley Stewart, 68

Mrs. Rebecca “Becky” Tapley Stewart died suddenly Dec. 5 at Lexington Hospital in West Columbia, S.C.
She was born Aug. 2, 1953, in Hazlehurst to parents John and Juanita Riner Tapley. Becky was known for how much she loved all her family. She would always give anything she had to those she loved. There were many things that kept Becky busy, especially making quilts for her family. Her favorite times were spent with her children, grandchildren, and her great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband Edward James Stewart, and siblings Sammy Tapley, Johnnie Findley, Georgie Nelle (Genelle) Ray, and Troy Tapley.
Survived by her siblings Frances Floyd (Robert), Atha Richert, Kenneth Tapley (Maurene), Tony Tapley (Karen), and Aubrey Tapley; children Diane Stewart, Lucretia McLendon, Gary Stewart, Charles Stewart, Jeffrey Stewart; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be Jan. 22, 2022, at Little Flock Church Cemetery in Collins. Time to be later determined. Visitation will follow at her family’s farm.
