Mrs. Pearl Dyal Newham, 82, of Hazlehurst, passed away Dec. 13 at her home.
Ms. Newham was born in Wheeler County and was preceded in death by her parents, Lester Dyal and Dora Lee Smith Dyal, her husband, Walter Floyd Newham and daughter, Brenda Shipes.
Ms. Newham was a homemaker and a member of Light House Baptist Church in Hazlehurst. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and enjoyed taking care of and cooking for her family.
She is survived by her sons Mitchell Newham (Lisa), Greg Newham and Robby Shipes; grandchildren Zac Newham, Brendon Newham, Nicholas McCloon, Lee Mincey, Chan Shipes and Angel Covington; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Dec. 17 at Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Chuck Morgan officiating.
Active pallbearers will be Zac Newham, Mitchell Newham, Greg Newham, Perry Toler, Chad Toler and Benji Poore.
