Mrs. Trish Dana Rubke-Hunt, 48

Mrs. Trish Dana Rubke-Hunt, 48, of Suwanee passed away Jan. 16 in Gwinnett County.
Trish was born Feb. 5, 1972, in Atlanta. She is the daughter of Pat McGaha Rubke of St. Simons Island and formerly of Hazlehurst and the late Karl John Rubke of Marietta.
She married Cami Michelle Hunt Nov. 5, 2001, in Windsor, Vermont. They have two sons, Gavin and Brice. All three, who live in Suwanee, survive her. Other survivors in addition to her mother are her brother and sister-in-law Terry and Cami Thompson Rubke; sisters Tina Rubke of Atlanta and Melinda Rubke of Dahlonega; brother Dominique Rubke of Santa Rosa, Calif.; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Trish graduated from Valdosta State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and received her EMT-Basic certification at Del Mar College in Corpus Christi. As a registered nurse, she spent her career in Texas and Georgia in labor and delivery and neonatal intensive care units and as a flight nurse. She was also a registered doula who provided emotional and physical support to mothers during their pregnancy and childbirth. She owned Earthside GA Doula Services LLC.
She was preceded in death by her father, her maternal grandparents, Lillian and Charlie R. “Mac” McGaha of Hazlehurst, paternal grandparents Karl Heinrich and Eleanor Mollner Rubke of California, aunt Deloras McGaha of Hazlehurst, and brothers Tobin C. Rubke and Thomas John Rubke.
Trish was a beautiful young lady with a warm, kind and giving heart who loved being a wife and mother, as well as a nurse and caregiver to newborns, babies and children. She will be missed by everyone who knew her, especially Cami, Gavin and Brice.
A memorial service with family and friends was held at the home of her aunt Delaine McGaha in Hazlehurst Jan. 22. Her mother, Pat Rubke, can be reached at 322 S. Harrington Road, St. Simons Island, GA 31522.
