Mrs. Mary Frances Pridgen Andrews, 79, of Pridgen, died Aug. 18 at Community Hospice House in Vidalia.
Mrs. Andrews was born March 26, 1941, in Turner County to the late Mitchell Ernest Pridgen and the late Della Mary Lewis. She was a homemaker, seamstress, loved beautiful flowers and feeding her birds. She was a member of New Corinth Holiness Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wayne Andrews, grandson, Travis Woods, siblings, Mitchelline Pridgen Kersey, Frank Pridgen and Eddie Carol Pridgen.
Survivors include her son; daughter, Machelle Andrews Woods of Hazlehurst; brothers, E.F. Pridgen of Pridgen and Freddie Wayne Pridgen of Pridgen; four grandchildren; one great-grandson, Brye Woods; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held Aug. 22 at Pridgen Family Cemetery in Pridgen with the Rev. Vernon Hughes and the Rev. Shon McEachin officiating.
Honorary pallbearers were all family and friends in attendance.
Active pallbearers were Scottie Lott, D.J. Harper, Blake Wright, Mark Cowart, Charlie Lott and Joey Kersey.
Music was rendered by Darrell Wright, Jimmie Ryles and John Hunt.
