Mrs. Johnita Ruth Dykes, 74

Mrs. Johnita Ruth Dykes, 74, of Hazlehurst, died Aug. 20 at Memorial Hospital in Savannah.
Mrs. Dykes was born Oct. 8, 1945, in Bacon County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonie Rewis and Mrs. Ruby Taylor Rewis, brother, Ronnie Pete Rewis. She was a homemaker, loved to cut grass, loved cooking and listening to gospel music. She was formerly employed with Hazlehurst Mills and was a member of Grace Community Church.
Survivors include her husband, Marcus Dykes of Hazlehurst; brothers, Donald Rewis (Norma) and Bobby Rewis; sister, Vickie Adams (Joel); several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held Aug. 24 at Hazlehurst City Cemetery with the Rev. Nathan Greer and the Rev. Josh Carter officiating.
Music was rendered by the Rev. Nathan Greer.
