Mr. Wendell Eugene Waters, 76

Mr. Wendell Eugene Waters, 76, of Hazlehurst, passed away Aug. 20 following an extended illness.
Mr. Waters was born March 7, 1944, in Jeff Davis County. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Will Waters and Molly Rowell Waters. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and was retired from Waters Electric as an electrician.
He is survived by his sons, Randy Waters of Hazlehurst, Ashley (Amy) Waters of Hazlehurst, and Ricky (Rhonda) Waters of Lumber City; brother, Lonnie (JoAnn) Waters of Hazlehurst; sister, Sue Williams of Lizella; six grandchildren; and close friend and caregiver, Deanna Jenkins of Hazlehurst.
Graveside services were held Aug. 22 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Joey Andrews officiating.
