Mr. Payne Bradwell ‘Brad’ Copeland II, 65

Mr. Payne Bradwell “Brad” Copeland II, 65, passed away at his residence Aug. 18 after a short illness. He was born in Bacon County Dec. 19, 1954, to Walter Payne Copeland and Nelle Crosby Copeland.
Brad retired in April, 2020, from the City of Brunswick Fire Department where he was a firefighter for more than 20 years. He was a member of Alma United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Sherryl Lee Caine Copeland of Alma; daughter, Jenifer Elliott and husband James and grandson Logan Elliott of Kingsland; sister, Rene’ Shelnutt and husband Rick of St. Simons Island; and nieces and nephews, Rachel Barksdale and husband Andrew of Richmond, VA., Dow Shelnutt and wife Jessica of Houston, Texas, and Natalie Shelnutt of St. Simons Island.
Graveside services were Aug. 21 at Holton Cemetery on Pine Level Church Road Alma.
Crosby Funeral Home was in charge.
