Mrs. Ada Collins Elton, 88

Mrs. Ada Collins Elton, 88, of Hazlehurst, died Dec. 19 at her residence.
Mrs. Elton was born Aug. 28, 1931, in Morganville, Kentucky, to the late Fred Collins and the late Margaret Moman Collins. She had resided in Hazlehurst most of her life, was a homemaker and member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert E. Elton, grandson Richard Clark Byrer, sister Clara R. Matte and son-in-law David L. McKinney.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret Elton McKinney of Evans, Nancy Elton Nix (Wayne) of Richmond Hill, Gina Elton Morris (Jimmy) of Hazlehurst and Dorothy Elton Byrer of Phenix City, Ala.; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Lee Elton (Wanda) of Cleveland, Tenn.; sisters, Margaret Moman and Betty Snodgrass both of Lexington, KY; brother, Herman Moman of Henderson, KY; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Dec. 27 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with Father Raphael Estrada officiating. Interment followed in Hazlehurst City Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Wayne Nix, Cary West, Josh Elton, Matthew Morris, Andrew Morris, and Matt Lvo.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
