Mrs. Ann Lowery Harris (Bunk), 90
Mrs. Ann Lowery Harris (Bunk), 90, of Lumber City, died Dec. 6 at Lumber City Nursing Home.
Mrs. Harris was born Jan. 28, 1929, in Bibb County to the late Vasco Lowery and the late Annie Minton Rawlins Lowery. She was formerly employed with Bank of Lumber City and was a member of the Lumber City Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Othan Donald Harris Sr. and siblings, Thomas Lowery, Pate Lowery, Vasco Lowery Jr. and Shirley Smith.
Survivors include her daughter, Julia Harris Swanson of Lumber City; son, Don Harris Jr. (Helen) of Blackshear; sisters, Hilda Lindsey of Carrolton, Texas, and Betty Lacey of Hazlehurst; brother, Charles Lowery of Macon; grandchildren, Jason Harris, Anthony Harris (Anna), Jeremy Wood (Megan), and Jonathan Wood; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; her special cat, Callie.
Services were held Dec. 8 at Lumber City Baptist Church with the Rev. Donnie Sutton, the Rev. Ashley Tyree, and the Rev. Merle Webster officiating. Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery, Lumber City.
Honorary pallbearers were S.C. Browning, Irma Turner, Mutt and Carl Sumner and Ms. Ann’s Sunday School Class the Super Saints.
Active pallbearers Jason Harris, Anthony Harris, Jeremy Wood, Jonathan Wood, John Elton and Bobby Brown.
Music was rendered by Janice Brown, Kimberly Girtman, and Greta Thomas.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
