Mr. James Madison Simpson Sr., 69

Mr. James Madison Simpson Sr., 69, of Thomasville, passed away Nov. 29.
Mr. Simpson, the son of the late Joseph Benjamin Simpson and Dorothy Towns Simpson was a native of Cairo. He was a truck driver, and was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Copeland Simpson, and brother, Jimmy Atkins.
Survivors include a special friend, Patricia Bell and family of Moultrie; daughter, Christy Granger of Brunswick; sons, James M. Simpson Jr. of Boston, GA, and Michael Simpson of Chuluota, Fla.; brothers and sisters, Mary Owens of Hilan Homes, Ala., Kathy Creamer, and Brenda Brown of Hazlehurst, Steve Atkins of Bainbridge, and Donald Simpson of Waycross; seven grandchildren; nine great-grands.
Services were held Dec. 2 in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Yawn officiating. Interment was in Oakland Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were the sons and grandsons, James M. Simpson Jr., Michael Simpson, James Joseph Simpson, Christopher Simpson, Conner Simpson and Brandon Keene.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
