Mr. Albert Clemons, 78
Services for Mr. Albert Clemons, 78, who died July 20, were held July 27 at Bennett Tabernacle Holiness Church in Hazlehurst where Pastor Terrell Paulk, and Charles Tober officiated.
Mr. Clemons, born in Wheeler County, was the son of the late Albert Benjamin Clemons Sr. and the late Mattie Whitehead Clemons. He was one of 10 children reared in a close knit, supportive and loving home. He was a member and deacon of Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church of Jacksonville, FL. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pat W. Clemons; parents; seven sisters, Hattie Clemons Clements, Bertha Clemons Smith, Mary Lee Clemons Herring, Lillie Mae Clemons Reid, Georgia Mae Clemons Birks, Rena Mae Clemons Tobler, Elouise Clemons Smith, and a brother, John C. Clemons.
Survivors include a son, Albert Clemons Jr.; sister, Annie Maude Clemons Wilcox and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a special friend, Ann White.
Active pallbearers were Anthony Fisher, Jaqueze Kirby, T. Monday Weaver, Stanley McRae and Roger Wright.
Honorary pallbearers were Larry Miles, Curtis Clements, Neal Benton, and AJ Hall.
Music was rendered by The Benjamin Family, Johnny Miles and Rosemary White.
Thornton Funeral Home of Hazlehurst was in charge of arrangements.
