Mr. Mitchell Varnadoe Sr., 80

Mr. Mitchell Varnadoe Sr., 80, of Nichols, died March 31 in Honduras.
Mr. Varnadoe was born Nov. 7, 1938, in Telfair County.
He was a retired salesman with Lowes and is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Ware Varnadoe.
Survivors include daughter, Cindy Cabral of Clearwater, Fla.; son, Mitchell Varnadoe Jr. of Nichols; sisters, Patsy Varnadoe of Lumber City and Geraldine Stroop of Lumber City; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held April 13 in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Mitch Varnadoe giving the eulogy and the Rev. Niles Dixon officiating. Interment followed in Hazlehurst City Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Derrick Cabral, Michael Cabral, Larry Marshall, Marshall Davis, Greg Terry, and Ryan Flowers.
Musical selections were rendered by Pat Stanton.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
