Mr. James W. Rowell, 74

Mr. James W. Rowell, 74, of Baxley, died April 12 at Jeff Davis Hospital.
Mr. Rowell was born March 19, 1945, in Jeff Davis County to the late J.W. Rowell and the late Sadie McNeal Rowell. He was retired from Hazlehurst Mills.
Survivors include his wife Joan Yawn Rowell of Baxley; sons, Gary Rowell of Hazlehurst and Tracy Rowell of Hazlehurst; sister, Sarah Jackson of Hazlehurst; four grandchildren, Blakelyn Rowell, Karleigh Rowell, Jake Rowell and Aspen Stallings; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held April 15 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Wigley and Billy Yawn officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Daniel McNeal, Chuck Rowell, Chris Nail, Gunner Jackson, Rex McNeal, Chad Clements, and Jake Rowell.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
