Mr. Alzie ‘Bert’ Baker Jr., 81

Services for Mr. Alzie “Bert” Baker Jr., 81, who died April 1, were held April 6 at Thornton’s Funeral Home Chapel.
Pastor Roger Snail officiated with burial in Walker Cemetery.
Mr. Baker, born in Liberty County, was the son of the late Alzie Baker Sr. and Carrie Baker. He worked as a logger for many years.
Survivors include his children, Elaine Baker and Wilbert Baker; sisters, Chrystine Walker and Lucy Solomon; five grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Music was rendered by Leroy Sanders and Peggy Fletcher.
Active pallbearers were Mark Bush, Eddie Jones, Family.
Thornton’s Funeral Home of Hazlehurst was in charge of arrangements.
