Mr. Donald Wayne Alday, 72

Mr. Donald Wayne Alday, 72, of Hazlehurst, died March 16 at his residence.
Mr. Alday was born May 29, 1946, in Donaldsonville. He was a veteran of the United States Army, retired heavy equipment operator with Jeff Davis County and a member of Southside Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his father, Gordon Pete Alday.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Bentley Alday of Hazlehurst; daughter and son-in-Law, Danielle and John Lee of Hazlehurst; close friends PJ and Thomas Stidd of Lincolnton; mother, Lois Ridlehoover Alday of Chiefland, Fla.; son, Donny Alday of Hazlehurst; sister, Carolyn Hudson of Chiefland, Fla.; grandchildren, Zachary Alday, Caleb Lee, Jordan Lee, and Heather Thomas; several nieces and nephews.
Services were March 20 in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Dr. Ben Glosson and Shane Keaton officiating.
Interment followed in Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery with military honors.
Active pallbearers were Roger Ogilvie, Steve Johnson, Shane Keaton, Shawn Keaton, Clifton Hudson, and Jody Ridlehoover.
Musical selections were rendered by Dr. Ben Glosson.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
