Mrs. Ruth Ann Hart Hollis, 54
Mrs. Ruth Ann Hart Hollis, 54, of Baxley died Feb. 26 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah.
Mrs. Hollis was born Jan. 21, 1965, in Bacon County and was a member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She was a license professional counselor who touched the lives of many children and was a former employee of the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home. Mrs. Hollis had a colorful, bubbly personality and never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her father, David C. Hart, paternal grandparents, Lacy Hart, Ora Lee Sellers and maternal grandparents, Alton “Bogie” Carter and Benez Hart.
Survivors include her husband, Roger Hollis of Baxley; daughter, Morgan Yawn and husband, Seth of Baxley and step-daughter, Brandi Carter and husband, Ryan of Baxley; step-son, Timothy Hollis of Baxley; mother, Manda Ruth Hart of Baxley; sister, Lana Clark and husband, Clay of Baxley; grandchildren, Rylee Tanner, Ryver Tanner and Remlee Yawn and step-grandchildren, Khloe Hollis, Jaydon Hollis and Savannah Sellers; nieces, Kallie Taylor and husband Chris and Madison Aspinwall; special friend Jennifer Luke.
Services were held March 2 at Zion Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. David Barber, the Rev. Wayne Williamson, the Rev. James Minick and the Rev. Rick Brown officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Carter Cauley, Dane Clements, Ed Hart, Daniel Brooks Carter, Clay Clark and Chris Taylor.
Honorary pallbearers were all friends in attendance.
Remembrances may be made to the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home.
