Mrs. Frances Christine Wood, 86

Mrs. Frances Christine Wood, 86, of Hazlehurst passed away Feb. 28 at Hazlehurst Court Care.
Mrs. Wood, the daughter of the late Henry and Gertrude Osborne McLemore, was a native of Toombs County, having resided in Jeff Davis County for a number of years. She was a homemaker Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by husband James Thomas Wood; daughter, Linda Dale Carroll; grandson, Jimmy Wesley Robins.
Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Wood (Teresa), and Thomas Wood (Deborah) both of Hazlehurst; special friend Gloria Hayes of Vidalia.
Services were March 2 in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with the Rev. Jinker Horton officiating. Interment followed in Pinecrest Cemetery in Toombs County.
Honorary pallbearers were Taylor Wood, Chaz Wood, Breayla Ewing, and Stacey Tharpe.
Active pallbearers were great-grandsons, James Wood, Blake Wood, Austin Wood, Paul Wood, Cody Ewing, and Kristopher Ewing.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
