Mrs. Teresa Dal Porto, 81

Mrs. Teresa Dal Porto passed peacefully Dec. 28 at Marysville Acute Care Center with her husband of 64 years, Angelo, at her side. The family thanks and acknowledges Marysville Acute Care Center for the excellent care they provided.
Teresa was a loving wife and mother and touched the lives of everyone she met.
She was born Jan. 23, 1937, in Macon, grew up in Hazlehurst and graduated from Jeff Davis High School in 1954. In 1953, Teresa met Angelo Dal Porto of California, a Hazlehurst-Baxley Cardinals baseball player in town for the season. She married Angelo in September, 1954, and returned with him to California. They had three children, Cindy, Patty and Joel.
Teresa was a dog lover and an avid horsewoman. She competed in many events, endurance, driving, halter and bred and raised many horses to compete with. Teresa was an active member of many American paint horse clubs for many years and worked hard to help put on many successful shows.
She also loved camping with her family and trail riding.
Teresa and Angelo moved to Loma Rica in 1992. She spent many hours and days searching for the right piece of property and planning for their dream home, a log home shipped to the area from Montana.
Teresa is survived by her husband, Angelo Dal Porto of Marysville, Calif.; daughter, Patty Miller of Davis, Calif.; daughter-in-law Bev Dal Porto of Arboga, Calif; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren in the Yuba Sutter area; siblings Donna Brewer, Phil Chapman, Jan Chapman-Phipps, Pat Chapman, four nieces and three nephews, all from Georgia.
Services were held Jan. 4 at Lakeside Colonial Chapel, Marysville, Calif., with burial in Sierra View Cemetery, Olivehurst, Calif.
