Mr. Cecil Conner, 75

Mr. Cecil Conner, 75, of Hazlehurst, died Nov. 8 at Tattnall Healthcare Center in Reidsville.
Mr. Conner was born Sept. 23, 1943, in Appling County to the late Anderson Conner and the late Idell Johnson Conner. He was retired from Williams Brothers Trucking and is preceded in death by his sister, Jean McNeal.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Conner of Hazlehurst; daughter, Connie Conner Smith of Lakeland; step-daughter, Cindy Yearta of Glennville; son, Kevin Conner of Hazlehurst; step-sons, Avery Strickland of Glennville, Greg Strickland of Glennville and Stanley Strickland of Hazlehurst; grandchildren, Shena Smith and Ashleigh Conner; nieces and nephews.
Services were held Nov. 11 in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Colter officiating. Interment followed in Palms Memorial Garden.
Active pallbearers were Bradley Watson, Allen Wood, A.J. Strickland, Avery Strickland, Stanley Strickland and Calvin Brewer.
Musical selections were rendered by Wendy Colter.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
