Sister Peggy Ann Jackson Pierce, 65

Serviced for Sister Peggy Ann Jackson Pierce, who died June 29, were held at Bennett Tabernacle Holiness Church in Hazlehurst July 7.
Officiating ministers were Dr. Eddie Harmon, eulogist and Pastor Dennis Roberts, presider.
Sister Pierce, known to her family as Peggy, was the embodiment of Christian spirituality in love, truth, honesty, integrity, and generosity.
She was born Nov. 19, 1953, in Lake City, Fla., to the late Mr. LB and Flora Lee Jackson. She attended school in Appling and Jeff Davis counties. She married Donald Pierce June 9, 1971 and retired from Hazlehurst Mills after 30-plus years.
She was a member of Mizpah Missionary Baptist Church in Baxley and later moved to Hazlehurst where she was a member of Big Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, where she served in the church choir, Sunday School, Bible Study, and services.
Her favorite pasttime was reading the Word, singing, praising the Lord, watching western movies and cartoons.
Preceding her in death are her parents, siblings Mary Louise McDaniel, LB Jackson Jr., James Terry Jackson, Ricky Jackson, and adopted brother ichael Anderson.
Survivors include her husband; children Tammy “Shorty” Pierce, Donna Pierce, and La’Donald “Champ” Pierce; grandchildren Stanley Roundtree, Sucarra Ariel Pierce, and Chasity Tamia Roundtree; siblings brother-in-law, R. T. McDaniel, Bishop Johnny L. (Billie) Jackson, Linda Jackson, Tommy (Linda Faye) Jackson, Billie Cooper, Minnie (Greg) Stripling, Minister Mickey (Lorene) Jackson, and Dano Jackson; any loving nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, and friends.
Active pallbearers were grandsons and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers were brothers, brothers-in-law, and church deacons.
Flower attendants were nieces, ladies of the church, and friends
Interment was in Pierce Family Memorial Gardens.
