Mr. Ervin Neubern Yawn, 92

Mr. Ervin Neubern Yawn, 92, of Marietta, passed away May 5 in Tranquility Hospice in Marietta after an extended illness.
Mr. Yawn, the son of the late John Ervin Yawn and Martha McCall Yawn, was a native of Jeff Davis County. He was retired from the United States Air Force with 23 years of service having served as a senior master sergeant, a meteorologist, and in WWII. Mr. Yawn was of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by four daughters, Martha Cavaiani Mahaffey, Marilyn Diane Cooper, Barbara Lynn Rasmussen, and Lori Denise Ferrero; son, David Alan Yawn; grandchildren, Alaina Yawn Hood, Shelly Yawn, Derek Yawn, Garrett Maxedon, Dana Maxedon, and Brittany Bremer; great-grandchildren, Lucus and Riley Rogers.
Mr. Yawn was preceded in death by son, John Ervin Yawn, and sister, Corrine Yawn Bender.
Burial was held May 5 in Philadelphia Methodist Church Cemetery in Jeff Davis County.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charges.
