Mrs. Patty Courson Rea, 62
Mrs. Patty Courson Rea, 62, of Hazlehurst, died April 23 at Hazlehurst Court Care.
Mrs. Rea was born Nov. 20, 1955, in Jeff Davis County to the late Walter Everett Courson and the late Toye Carter Courson. She was retired from Hazlehurst Mills and a member of Mt Zion Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her brother, Bane Courson.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Rea of Hazlehurst; daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa (Melvin) Music of Monroe and Holly (Michael) Worth of Hazlehurst; son, Allen (Kara) Rea of Vidalia; sister, Kathy (Paul) Wilkes of Hazlehurst; brother, Larry (Judy) Courson of Hazlehurst; grandchildren, Audrey Talley, Hailey Music, Will Music, Zach Music, Mackenzie Butler, Ashton Worth, Evan Worth, Collin Worth, Riley Hardsee, Katie Rea, Hosanna Rea, Isabella Rea and Isaiah Rea.
Services were held April 25 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Allen Rea and the Rev. Billy Gardner officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Joey Boyette, Shane Rea, Courson Hutchison, Chris Hutchison, Noah Wilkes and Kevin Waters.
Musical selections were rendered by Brooke Williams and Audrey Talley.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
