The Jeff Davis Middle School’s teams dominated the Southeast Georgia Middle School Athletic League Championship last week. The JD teams swept all four races (JV Boys, JV Girls, Top 7 Boys, Top 7 Girls).
This marked the first time in program history the boys and girls teams have won the league championship in the same year. The boys team previously won back-to-back championships in 2019 and 2020 in the Middle Georgia Middle School Athletic Conference. While the girls team also won back-to-back championships in 2016 and 2017 as part of the Southeast Georgia Middle School Athletic Conference. This is the first year in the Southeast Georgia Middle School Athletic League, which consists of middle schools from Jeff Davis, Toombs, Vidalia, Tattnall, Metter and Swainsboro.
Neither boys or girls team has ever finished lower than 3rd in the Conference/League championship meet.
