Tennis opens season

The Jeff Davis High School Yellow Jacket tennis teams opened their seasons on the road Feb. 3 with a strong showing at the John Drew Tennis Center in Macon against ACE Charter.
The Yellow Jacket boys earned a narrow 3–2 victory over the Gryphons in a closely contested match, while the Lady Yellow Jackets secured a 4–1 win behind consistent play across the lineup.
Jeff Davis will return to action Feb. 18 at 4 p.m. when the Yellow Jackets host Johnson County in their first home match of the season.
Head coach Mary Katherine Brown expressed excitement about the team’s early performance and looks forward to building on this momentum as the season continues.
