The Jeff Davis Cross Country Teams hosted the Three Rivers XC Classic last Thursday. Twenty-six high school teams participated, including teams as far away as Jackson.
The event included a Senior Recognition Parade, a JV Race, and races for each Top 8 Boys and Top 8 Girls.
On the boys side, Jeff Davis finished 7th overall. Luke Relihan led the way with a 6th place finish with a personal best of 17:46.70 and running under the 18-minute mark for the first time. That time puts him second on the sophomore record list for the program. Mario Franco finished right behind Relihan in 8th place
On the girls side, Jade Franco and Avery Haley finished 14th and 15th respectively to pace the Lady Jackets squad to a 3rd place finish. All the Lady Jackets ran personal best or season best times and are starting to peak at the right time of the season.
The XC teams will travel to Richmond Hill Saturday for the Richmond Hill Invitational.
