Jacket golf teams win area tournament

Jeff Davis High’s boys and girls golf teams both finished first in last week’s Area 1-A, Division I golf tournaments and advanced to the 2026 Sectionals.
Jeff Davis, ACE Charter and Worth County qualified for the sectionals, with both boys and girls teams from those schools finishing 1st-2nd-3rd.
The Jacket boys’ team score was 314, 2 strokes ahead of ACE Charter and 23 strokes better than Worth.
The Jacket girls posted a 185 score in their 2-player competition, 3 strokes better than ACE Charter and 5 strokes in front of Worth.
