Mrs. Carolyn Angela Speziali, 72

Mrs. Carolyn Angela Speziali, 72, of Hazlehurst, passed away June 14 at Memorial Health in Savannah.
Mrs. Carolyn was born November 4, 1952, in Jeff Davis County to the late Hal Abraham Maddox Sr. and the late Nina Lee (Hughes) Maddox. She loved her family and her cats. She enjoyed cooking and working in her yard. She was a member of Union Springs Baptist Church and often attended Elizabeth Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Clifford Speziali Sr., and siblings, Hal (Connie) Maddox Jr. and Melody (Richard) Devendorf.
She is survived by her daughter Chrissy Kerns of Indiana; son Will Speziali Jr. of Telfair County; brother Tommy (Brenda) Maddox of Hazlehurst; grandchildren Tristan (Justin) Carter of Baxley, Lee Wilcox of Louisiana, C.J. (Aaron) Taylor of Kentucky, Cody (Harley) Wilcox of Louisiana, Shelby (Coby) Carelock of Lumber City, William Speziali III of Hazlehurst, Warren (Tyler) Kerns of Tennessee, and Evelyn Kerns of Indiana; great-grandchildren Aiyla, Gracie, Wyatt, Bentley, Esther, Asa, Naomi, Collin, Ezra, Josie and Violet; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held June 16 at Elizabeth Baptist Church with the Rev. Merle Webster and the Rev. Keith Yawn officiating. Interment followed in Hazlehurst City Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Coby Carelock, Charles Carelock, Wyatt Carelock, Cody Wilcox, Will Speziali III, Tommy Maddox, and Christian Bryant.
Music was rendered by Shelby Carelock and the congregation.
Swain Funeral Home was in charge.
