Ms. Lela Pearl Myles, 82

God, in his infinite wisdom and power, called Lela Pearl Myles home May 25. She was born Aug. 4, 1941, to the late John and Elvira Myles. She graduated from Hazlehurst High School.
Pearl was called to Christ at a young age and attended Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. She worked as a caregiver and cook and retired in her later years. Pearl was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mollie Louise Wiley.
Survivors include children Wilbert Myles, Patricia McNeal, both of Hazlehurst and James Otis Clemons of Vidalia; brother Arthur Lee Myles (Mable) of Hazlehurst; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Homegoing services were held June 1 at Bennett Tabernacle Holiness Church. Pastor Ricky Carter presided and Pastor Reuben Bennett Jr. delivered words of comfort.
