Mrs. Shirley Jean Rea Stone, 65

Mrs. Shirley Jean Rea Stone, 65, of Hazlehurst passed away May 20 at her residence.
Mrs. Stone was born May 3, 1958, in Jeff Davis County to the late Clyde David Rea and the late Barbara Ann Sanders Rea. She was a homemaker and a member of Union Springs Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her grandsons who gave her the will to fight cancer for so long. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Brenda Rea Dean, and sister-in-law, Brenda Shumans Rea.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Ronnie Stone; daughter, Jennifer (Carl) McCullar; sister, Michelle Rea (Burtis) Taylor; brothers, Glynn Rea and Clyde Donald (Valarie) Rea; grandsons, Carl Clyde McCullar and Matthew Claude McCullar.
Services were held May 23 at Union Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Josh Carter and the Rev. John Thomas officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Carl Clyde McCullar, Matthew Claude McCullar, Donald Rea, Landon Carter, Jesse Webb, and Jerry Wooten.
Honorary pallbearers were Christopher Rea Toler and Dalton King.
Swain Funeral Home was in charge.
