Mr. Luther Frank Watts, 68

Mr. Luther Frank Watts Sr., 68, of Eastman, passed away Aug. 24 at his residence, under the care of Family Hospice.
He was born May 2, 1958, in Plant City, Fla. He was the son of the late Luther Burtrum Watts and Zella Pearl Buckins Watts. He was retired from Amercord and was a member of Quitman Church of God. He was a man with a true servant’s heart, always looking for ways to give back to those around him. Wherever he attended church, he found a way to become involved in the food bank ministry, serving others and helping meet the needs of his community. Giving back was simply part of who he was. He was easygoing, kindhearted, and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. He was a devoted father and grandfather who loved his children and grandchildren dearly and took great pride in them. And, of course, he was a loyal Georgia Bulldogs fan who never missed an opportunity to cheer on his Dawgs. Above all, he will be remembered for his generous spirit, his love for his family, and the servant’s heart he carried throughout his life.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Tony Watts S., Michael Watts and Lawrence Watts.
Frank is survived by his son, Luther Frank Watts Jr. of Douglas; daughters and sons-in-law Christy Cheri (Clinton Lee) Rice of Eastman and Franny “Marci” Michelle (Michael Wayne) Marquez of Polk, Fla.; sister Linda (Buddy) Hutchinson of Hazlehurst; grandchildren Conner Rice, Clinton Rice Jr., Michael Norfleet, Hailey Swearinger, Angel Marquez, Zayna Watts and Zaelyn Watts; great-grandchild Sayler Grace Rice; nieces and nephews.
Services were held Aug. 28 in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with the Rev. Gwin Jarriel officiating.
Interment followed in Satilla Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Luther “Bubba” Watts Jr., Conner Rice, Marcus Ray, Ronnie Miller, Buddy Hutchinson, Steve McKinnon and Michael Norfleet.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
