Mrs. Karen Barnard Edge, 68

Mrs. Karen Barnard Edge, 68, of Hazlehurst, died May 17 at Memorial Hospital in Savannah.
Mrs. Edge was born July 5, 1954, in Jeff Davis County.
She is preceded in death by her parents, David Levi Barnard, and Madie Lou Griffis, and several brothers and sisters.
Karen was a simple person who enjoyed the little things in life, like sitting in a swing on a sunny day. She enjoyed fishing, reading, and listening to music and was very much a people person. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Alvin Barto Edge of Hazlehurst; son, Chad Shepherd of Hazlehurst; brother, Curtis Barnard (Judy) of Nichols; granddaughter, Jenna Shepherd; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held May 26 at 11 a.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Carter and the Rev. Nathan Greer officiating.
