Ms. Patricia ‘Danky’ Sellers Burkett, 65
Ms. Patricia “Danky” Sellers Burkett, 65, of Hazlehurst passed away March 31 at Community Hospice in Vidalia.
Ms. Burkett was born in Jeff Davis County Jan. 27, 1958.
She is preceded in death by her parents, A.J. and Kressie Long Sellers, brother, Jimmy Sellers, and daughter-in-law, Buffy Burkett.
She was a homemaker and member of Lumber City Baptist Church.
Patricia was a quite gentle spirit, she never said much, but her family knew she loved them dearly, especially her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all.
Survivors include her sons, Brent Lee Burkett of Lumber City and Brad Burkett (Samantha) of Hazlehurst; sister, JoAnn Miller (Dave Johnson) of Hazlehurst; brother, Chester Sellers of Hazlehurst; dear friend, Marlene Reynolds of Hazlehurst; grandchildren, Bryce Lee Burkett, Baley Dyan Burkett, Nathan Lee Spivey, Shelby Marie Burkett, and Taylor Arthur Burkett; great-grandchildren, Madelyn Danielle, Jackson Lee, and Kinsley Grace; niece, Dana Wasdin (Charles); nephews, Kevin Sellers (Danielle), Ryan Miller (Karla) and Greg Miller (Krista).
Services were held April 3 in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funerall Home with the Rev. Glen Stinson and the Rev. John Daughtry officiating. Interment followed in Hazlehurst City Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were all family and friends in attendance.
Mikey Richardson, Chris Reynolds, Kyle Sellers, Bryce Burkett, Greg Miller, and Nathan Lee Spivey served as active pallbearers.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
