Mrs. Beulah Williams, 96

Mrs. Beulah Lynn Williams, 96, of Grovetown, entered her heavenly home March 31.
Mrs. Williams was a gentle soul who was greatly loved by her large family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Vernon Williams; a stillborn son; parents, Hollis and Cynthia Lynn; brothers, Jarmon Lynn (Jane) and Howard Lynn (Eloise); and sisters, Amy Davenport (Dave) and Juanice “Mickey” Hesters (Eldred).
Survivors include daughters Lynnette Jackson of Baxley, Karen Floyd (David) of Warner Robbins; Patricia Silvers (David) of Baxley, and Cindy Torres of Grovetown; son Larry Williams (Brenda Sutton) of Martinez; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; sister, Camille Kimball of Graham; and brother-in-law, Johnny Williams, of North Augusta, S.C.
Mrs. Williams born Jan. 7, 1927, in Appling County. She and her husband grew up on farms, and after they married, they farmed until they moved to Columbia County in 1994. She was very much a partner in the farming business, as she cooked large meals daily, for her family and many farm workers. While living in Appling County, Mrs. Williams owned the Village Cake and Donut Shop in Hazlehurst. She was known for her amazing cooking skills, sense of humor, mischievous nature, and great love for her family.
A member of Peace Free Will Baptist Church in Evans for 29 years, Mrs. Williams loved God and served Him faithfully. She was a former member of Satilla Free Will Baptist Church in Hazlehurst, where she and her family attended for over 50 years.
Services were at Satilla Free Will Baptist Church in Hazlehurst, April 3 with the Rev. Paul Smith officiating. Burial was in Satilla church cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Douglas Jackson of Baxley; Jason Brewer of Kathleen; Stacy Brewer of Kathleen; John David Floyd of Centerville; Larry Dale Williams Jr. of Martinez; Brandan Graves of Grovetown; and Josh Graves of Grovetown. The remaining grandchildren were honorary pallbearers. Flowers can be sent to Miles Funeral Home in Hazlehurst.
