Mr. Joshua Eugene Jones, 43

Mr. Joshua Eugene Jones, 43, of Uvalda, passed away at his residence March 8.
Mr. Jones was born June 26, 1979, in Jeff Davis County.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Debra Ann Bass Jones, maternal grandfather Robert Bass Sr., maternal great-grandparents S.M. and Wilma Shrouder, Edmond and Amanda Jane Bass, and paternal grandparents Edward and Mary Jones.
His family called him a simple man, he was a sheet metal mechanic and a member of Union #85. His work gave him the opportunity to travel all around and see many things. He was a big Georgia football fan and enjoyed watching the games. But most of all he loved his family and spending time with them.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Paige and Chase Rojas of Tennessee; sons, Andrew Jones of Uvalda and Gavin Jones of Lumber City; father, Timothy Edward Jones of Uvalda; sister and brother-in-law, Anna and John Faulk of Denton; siblings, Tosha Hampton (Shane) of Hazlehurst, Joli Rogers (Tim) of Hazlehurst, Lisa Rowland of Hazlehurst and Bobby Rowland of Alamo; maternal grandmother Virginia Bass; significant other “ol Lady” and high school sweetheart, Angie Thornton; grandchildren, Abrahm and Eden Rojas and Dakota, Addie, Paisley Jones; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Graveside services were held March 11 in Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery with his uncle Jay Murray officiating.
Six of his dear friends were honored to serve as active pallbearers.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
