Ms. Edna Livingston Dixon, 89

Ms. Edna Livingston Dixon, 89, of Hazlehurst, died Jan. 9 in Lumber City Nursing Home.
Ms. Dixon was born Dec. 10, 1933, in Towns.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Candler Clark Livingston and Ida Grace Livingston, and her husband, Alfred Dean Dixon.
She was retired and was of the Baptist faith.
Ms. Edna was a refined southern lady, and she always carried herself in a humble, but dignified way. She had a very strong will and always seem to win every discussion, but she was always SWEET about it.
She was a meticulous seamstress, loved her family dearly, was a great cook, and enjoyed cooking, and spending time with, and taking care of her family. She will be truly missed.
Survivors include sons, Jerry Alfred Dixon (Janet) of Odum and Richard Dean Dixon (Paula) of Dublin; grandchildren, Crystal Dixon Ramsey (Daniel) and Andy Dixon; great-grandchildren, Shelby Dixon, Brock Dixon, Bailey Dixon, J.D. Ramsey, Mason Dixon, and Drew Dixon; great-great-grandchild, Banks Dixon; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held Jan. 12 in Hazlehurst City Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Brantley officiating.
Honorary pallbearers were Teresa Johnston, Danny and Mary Jones, Charlene and Jose Munsayac, Melinda and Mike Carver, and Jenifer White.
Active pallbearers were Billy Johnston, Mickey Barrett, Ray Googe, Donnie Shumans, Daniel Ramsey, and Timmy Long.
Music was rendered by Vic Brantley.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
