Mr. Tommy Dupree Reynolds, 87

Mr. Tommy Dupree Reynolds, 87, of Hazlehurst, passed away at his residence Feb. 18.
He was born April 19, 1935, in Baxley, and was preceded in death by his parents Mr. Tommy B. and Mrs. Beatrice Long Reynolds; son Billy Reynolds; and siblings Noraella Reynolds, Roy Reynolds, and Jeanette Rowell.
Mr. Reynolds enjoyed fishing, listening to gospel music, watching old western movies, and caring for his cats. He was a loving and devoted family man who treasured time spent with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Betty J. Reynolds of Hazlehurst; son Johnny Reynolds of Hazlehurst; daughter Frances Taylor (Burtis) of Hazlehurst; step-daughter Angie Beckworth (Aaron) of Baxley; grandchildren Allie Beckworth, Cindy Fleming, Johnny Bohannon, Weston Reynolds, Jeremy Wilcox, Christopher Reynolds, Tiffany Johnson (Lamar), and Megan Corrado (Dirk); 17 great-grandchildren; brothers William Reynolds (Liz) of Nahunta, Truman Reynolds of Callahan, Fla., and Donnie Reynolds of Vidalia; and sisters Irma Jean Horne, Barbara Reynolds, and Patricia Reynolds.
Services were held Feb. 20 in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Carter and Jimmie Ryles officiating.
Interment followed at Friendship Congregation Cemetery in Baxley.
Honorary pallbearers were the staff of Community Hospice, Sammy and Ethelyn Creech, Jimmy Ryles, the Rev. Charles Carter, Dywane Johnson and Mayor Bayne Stone.
Active pallbearers were Johnny Bohannon, Jeremy Wilcox, Christopher Reynolds, Weston Reynolds, Aaron Beckworth, and Ashton Wasdin.
Music was rendered by Sue Sammons, Jimmie Ryles, Mike Cochran, DeDe Allen, Maxine Williams and Jesse Livingston.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
