Mr. Lonnie Jackson Sheppard Sr., 79

Mr. Lonnie Jackson Sheppard Sr., 79, of Roanoke, Ala., formerly of Lumber City, died Dec. 27.
Mr. Sheppard was born April 24, 1943, in Telfair County.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Columbus Sheppard and Nellie Johnson Sheppard, wife, Clara Dianne Hulett, children, Jack Sheppard, Tony Sheppard, and Tina Sheppard, and two sisters.
In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and the outdoors. He was an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed spending his time watching old Westerns.
Survivors include his sister-in-law, Dorcas Griffin of Roanoke, Ala.
Graveside services were held Dec. 31 in Riverside Cemetery with Ms. Dorcas Griffin giving the eulogy.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
